The City College of New York women's basketball team dropped a conference game Wednesday evening, suffering a 62-48 setback at the hands of the Hunter College Hawks at the Nat Holman Gymnasium in Upper Manhattan. With the victory the Hawks improved to a record of 11-12 on the season, including a mark of 9-2 in conference play, while CCNY dipped to 4-20 overall, and 2-9 in league action.
Despite the loss for CCNY, Donika Rexhepi led the Beavers with a game-high 14 points to go along with six rebounds, three assists, and a pair of steals. In addition, it was Jennifer Leach playing well off of the bench, as she connected on four of her eight shot attempts, finishing with eight points and three rebounds in just 13 minutes of action. Simone Tharkur added six points, 10 rebounds, and four steals.

Point guard Israel Vickers scored 20 points while grabbing six rebounds, dishing five assists, and tallying three steals as he helped the City College men's basketball team defeat the visiting Hawks of Hunter College by a score of 65-63 in overtime in front of a pumped-up crowd at the Nat Holman Gymnasium in Upper Manhattan. The victory ended a 20-game losing streak for CCNY, and improved the Beavers to 2-21 overall, and 1-10 in league play. With the loss, Hunter College fell to 11-12 on the season, including a 6-5 mark in CUNYAC action.
The Beavers played at a high level of intensity throughout the entire contest, enabling to pick up a well-deserved and hard fought win. CCNY held a seven point lead late in the first stanza, holding a 28-21 advantage with 6:36 remaining in the session. Hunter College battled back, though, closing out the half on a 9-2 run as the team entered the locker room all knotted at 30 apiece.

The City College of New York men's basketball team dropped a conference contest on Monday evening, falling to the Bearcats of Baruch College by a score of 77-51 at the ARC Arena in the Lower Manhattan. With the victory, Baruch College improved to a record of 12-11 overall and 6-4 in CUNYAC play, while CCNY dipped to 1-21 Overall and 0-10 in CUNYAC action.
Baruch College's excellent first half shooting saw the Bearcats jump out to a 39-23 lead at break. The Bearcats connected on 54.5 percent of their attempts from the floor in the opening session (18-33), and finished the night shooting 50 percent overall (31-62). CCNY committed 21 turnovers on the evening, which Baruch College turned into 31 points.
