CCNY Falls to Arcadia

Brooklyn, NY – CCNY Baseball lost to Arcadia (6-19 Overall) yesterday by a score of 4-16.  The game was played in CCNY’s home field, MCU Field (Coney Island, NY).  The loss drops CCNY under .500 (11-12 Overall, 4-2 CUNYAC). 

The Beavers offense was held back by Arcadia’s Jared Knable, who threw a complete game and only allowed four earned runs.  Freshman Michael Perez (Bronx, NY) and Senior Willis Fernandez (New York, NY) each had two hits, and were responsible for three of the four runs for the Beavers.  Sophomore Dave Titor (Bellerose Village, NY) (1-1) recorded the loss. 

CCNY will be back in MCU Field tonight as the visiting team against host NYU-Poly (3:30 PM).

Andrew Romanella
Baseball
The freshman played in all five games for the Beavers this week, batting an even .500. His 9-for-18 effort included six runs scored, two doubles, an RBI, a walk, and three stolen bases, as he improved his season average to .370.

Women's Indoor Track and Field
The junior had a solid meet at the Danny Curran Invitational. She finished 27th in the long jump with a distance of 4.35 meters and followed it up with her best performance of the meet, finishing 10th in the triple jump with a distance of 9.88 meters.
