Baseball Loses to Drew University, 3-8

Brooklyn, NY – Baseball fell to Drew University yesterday by a score of 8-3 at the MCU Field. The loss at home drops CCNY’s record to 12-16 (4-5 CUNYAC) while Drew University’s record improved to 8-26.

Junior Ruben Angeles (New York, NY) brought in two RBIs, hitting .333. Sophomore Michael Dominguez (Brooklyn, NY) brought in the other run and was two for three at the plate. Sophomore Dave Titor (Bellerose Village, NY) was the hard-luck losing pitcher.

The Beavers will take on John Jay tomorrow in a doubleheader (away game). The following day will be CCNY’s last home game.

Women's Indoor Track and Field

The junior had a solid meet at the Danny Curran Invitational. She finished 27th in the long jump with a distance of 4.35 meters and followed it up with her best performance of the meet, finishing 10th in the triple jump with a distance of 9.88 meters.

Baseball

The freshman played in all five games for the Beavers this week, batting an even .500. His 9-for-18 effort included six runs scored, two doubles, an RBI, a walk, and three stolen bases, as he improved his season average to .370.
