The No. 5 seed CCNY lost a really close match on Saturday, May 1 against conference rival No. 4 seed Baruch College. The CUNYAC quarterfinal game came down to the fourth singles match between CCNY’s Gaiell-Mitchell Kercy and Baruch’s Tadas Valiukenas. Kercy who had a stellar year lost in a tiebreaker, with scores of 4-6, 6-7.
Junior Gabriel Felder took the number one singles match (6-4, 6-2), and the #3 doubles match (9-7) while paired up with Kercy. Freshman Alexander Jonsson also won his singles match (6-3, 6-3) and doubles match (partnered with Asaf Breier) with a score of 8-4 .
The Team will play their final game of the season on Sunday, May 9th at Yeshiva.
